چکیده
This paper presents the successful preparation of porous membranes based on chitosan with enhanced mechanical, thermal and chemical properties applicable in water treatment field. Herein, chitosan/kaolin composite a cross-linking agent porogen were prepared using solvent casting method. The characterization as-fabricated indicated that combined effect kaolin as reinforcing agent, polyethylene glycol pore former citric acid cross-linker matrix showed significant influence membrane properties. results incorporation hydrophilic porogenic reagent into collodion addition to providing morphology makes it possible obtain more membrane, thus induces an increase pure permeability. cross-linked exhibited improved resistance, better mechanical compared neat films. had mean size 50 nm falling range ultrafiltration. Photochemical Patterning of Ionically Cross-Linked Hydrogels
Iron(III) cross-linked alginate hydrogel incorporating sodium lactate undergoes photoinduced degradation, thus serving as a biocompatible positive photoresist suitable for photochemical patterning. Alternatively, surface etching of iron(III) cross-linked hydrogel contacting lactic acid solution can be used for controlling the thickness of the photochemical pattering. Due to biocompatibility, bo...
متن کاملElasticity in ionically cross-linked neurofilament networks.
Neurofilaments are found in abundance in the cytoskeleton of neurons, where they act as an intracellular framework protecting the neuron from external stresses. To elucidate the nature of the mechanical properties that provide this protection, we measure the linear and nonlinear viscoelastic properties of networks of neurofilaments. These networks are soft solids that exhibit dramatic strain st...
متن کاملA New Resistance Model for Interpretation of Gas Permeation Data of Composite and Asymmetric Membranes
In this work a new resistance model has been presented based on that of Henis-Tripodi which can be used for interpretation of gas permeation data in composite and asymmetric membranes. In contrast to the previous works, in this model the fraction of the support layer surface that includes the pores filled with coating material has been taken into account. The influences of the filled pores on s...

Polym. Adv od of tripolyphosphate (TPP) cross-linking. The influence of fabrication conditions on the physical properties and drug loading and release properties was investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and UV–vis spectroscopy. The nanoparticles could be prepared only within a zone of appropriate chitosan and TPP concentrations. The particle si...
متن کاملCharacterization of Commercial Ceramic and Hybrid Membranes Using Gas Permeation and Permporometry Tests
The gas separation performance of commercial ceramic Titania and hybrid silica (HybSi®) membranes was assessed using the gas permeation and permporometry methods. Results indicated that the HybSi® membranes have a hybrid surface containing regions covered by a polymeric matrix and others with inorganic pores. These membranes have high H2 selectivity, which incre...
